A Newer Community, a Different Set of Requests
Gateway's homes are newer than most of Lee County's housing stock, and it shows in what homeowners here actually call about:
- EV charger installation: newer panels typically have the capacity for a 40–60 amp circuit without a full upgrade. See EV charger installation for current pricing.
- Smart-home and automation wiring: dedicated circuits and clean, planned-ahead wiring for security, lighting control, and networked homes.
- HOA and architectural review coordination: Gateway's community rules are a fact of life for exterior electrical work. Contractors who've done the approval process before move faster than ones doing it for the first time.
- Capacity add-ons, not full replacements: most Gateway panel work is adding capacity for a pool, spa, or generator rather than replacing an aging or insurance-flagged panel. See panel upgrades.
Permits go through Lee County
Gateway is unincorporated, so electrical permits and inspections run through Lee County. The contractors we refer pull them as a standard part of the job.
